Dr. Justin Chan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended the University of California, San Diego where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology, cum laude, and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa National Honors Society. He stayed in San Diego to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree at UCSD. After medical school, Dr. Chan moved to Chicago, Illinois, and completed his Internship and Orthopaedic Residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Finally, Dr. Chan completed a subspecialty fellowship in Hand Surgery at the world-renowned Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Chan has presented several of his grants and research projects at national meetings. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. During his free time, Dr. Chan enjoys music, surfing, and hiking with his wife and two dogs.
